    I've been experiencing chronic pain issues and have found the care and attention given by Denmark Road Surgery, Dr Elizabeth Whitmore in particular, to be exceptional. We all need to re-tune and learn to use econsult rather than phoning the Surgery directly, but I've never waited more than 2 days for a consultation after doing so. Hospital consultations may take longer, obviously, but these too have, so far, never more than 3 months away. Dr Numan's practice is truly a great asset for the community it serves and all who work there should be very proud of their achievement.

    I’ve had ongoing issues with a long-term health problem and have already lost a significant amount of hair, and the problem is still continuing. I was told I would be referred to dermatology, but the hospital said no referral was received. Since then I’ve been sent back and forth between the GP and dermatology without clear answers. Communication has been poor, and reception staff sometimes hang up the phone and say it’s “nothing to do with them,” leaving patients without direct answers or proper help. I’m worried the condition will continue to worsen while I am still waiting for proper treatment and specialist support.

    I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Dr. Jack Hogg, whom I met for the first time today. Jack was incredibly proactive in addressing the issues I have been going through, especially as I was feeling apprehensive about how to put them into words. He was both empathetic and highly professional, and within the span of just 15 minutes he made me feel so much better. I was really impressed by how efficient he was with the time while still making me feel genuinely listened to and supported. I would absolutely recommend Jack to anyone looking to speak with someone who is compassionate, understanding, and professional at the same time. Thank you Jack once again 😊

    Back to my original surgery. It's very different now after being added to the south coast medical group. Still the usual difficulty in getting a same appointment but that's the governments fault. This place is not the same after the brilliant Dr Cowley retired 3 years ago. The advice and guidance from Wes Street has complicated diagnosis. GPs have to communicate with a consultant before referring a patient. It's my opinion that this defeats the whole point of a referral. A GP has limited diagnostic and testing capabilities which is when a specialist consultant comes in. It will lead to many patients being sent home without a much needed referral. Another screwup from the government to cut down the number of referrals while the patiens pay the price.
