  If you’re looking for a local honest company to install a solar and battery storage system in Warrington then Rob and the team at NRG are a great choice. We needed a new roof so took the opportunity to put in-roof solar panels at the same time. It’s a much neater job than on-roof systems as the panels are nearly flush with the roof. We made savings combining the two projects into one. NRG have been very professional during the project with great communication throughout. Where there were some minor issues ( as does happen on these projects) Rob was understanding and rectified without any fuss. Throughout the project Rob kept checking in with us to ensure we were happy with how the works were progressing. We installed 15 Aiko panels along with a 20kW Sigenergy battery and inverter. Overall a very professional re-roof project and now I’m transfixed with how much money I’m saving and earning every day feeding back to the grid!

  Had a Tesla system fitted. No issues with installers or scaffolding etc. Had 1 battery not working through no fault of the installer. Rob ordered a new battery and kept me informed by email. Changed the faulty battery quickly. Can't fault the quick progress and regular communication and didnt pay fully until system was commissioned and working. Would definitely recommend

  I recently had NRG install my solar panels, inverter and batteries along with some roof repairs while they were up there, while not everything went to plan and there were a few hiccups along the way , however I would recommend Rob and the team and I would use them again. Rob was excellent — competitive pricing, thoughtful design discussions, and a very good install lead time. I opted for 10 panels 5 SW & 5 NE facing , a 6KW Hanchu inverter and 2 x 9.4KW Hanchu batteries As with most installs, not everything went perfectly. The scaffolders arrived late without enough scaffolding for the 2 rises, but Rob jumped on it sorted for the following day. The roofer was amazing and coped with bad weather and doing some roof work and panels in less-than-ideal conditions. The electricians had some issues with the kit and this resulted in Rob coming down himself and arranging to swap the inverter , there were some other issues around random tripping and Hanchu themselves came out and this was resolved with a combination of some system settings and a different RCBO Im about a month in and the system is doing exactly what I expected and better than the design spec – so I’m really happy Alan has been amazing with helping get the export set up and setting up the app and getting the best from the system I’m saving money on my bills at a higher than expected rate and ill be looking for my third 9kw battery early next year Overall, I’d describe NRG Solar and Rob as a small, competitive company that genuinely cares. Communication with Rob is good, even at weekends, and issues get resolved quickly and the support from Alan is just amazing, based on my experience, I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

I also really appreciate your patience throughout the few hiccups we encountered along the way. As you said, not every install goes perfectly, especially when you’re dealing with British weather, roofing works and new technology all at once, but one thing we’ll always do is front issues head on and get them resolved properly. Alan in particular genuinely cares about helping customers get the absolute most from their systems, whether that’s export setup, app support or tariff guidance.   The NRG team were fantastic throughout my solar installation, and I’m really pleased I chose them. From the outset, their approach was open, honest, and informative. They clearly explained the different options available, along with the expected benefits and payback periods, without any of the pushy sales tactics I experienced with other companies. I ultimately chose to install more panels than my home strictly needed. Although that initially seemed counterintuitive, the team took the time to walk me through the calculations and reasoning, which made perfect sense once explained properly. A real bonus was that they also carried out gutter and soffit replacements while the scaffolding was already in place, which saved a great deal of hassle and additional cost. What really sets NRG apart is the added value they provide through their responsiveness, aftercare, and wider solar community support. Every member of the team who came to the house was friendly, professional, and respectful throughout. It’s now been a couple of weeks since the installation was completed, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I've been "off-grid" since completion with my solar and battery combination. I would highly recommend NRG to anyone considering a solar project.

  I've just had a recent installation with NRG Solar, from the start Robs communication and expertise was brilliant. At the sales stage with Rob was excellent — competitive pricing, thoughtful design discussions, and a in depth explanation of how solar works and how you make it work for you. I really happy with the finished product it is generating and keeping us off grid better than expected. We had Dave and Craig on the roof and Charlie and Chez on the Electrics, Claire and Sam on the operations and handover. We have 12nr 510kw Aiko panels,system size is 6.1kw with 30kw Sigenergy battery storage and a 6kw inverter. We are already ahead of predicted savings for April it’s not been a full month and our export isn’t even live yet. Another point to note with NRG is their aftercare and monitoring. Rob employees Alan who is a battery specialist who will monitor and educate you on how best to use your system. He knows the ins and outs of the app gives you training and guidance on how to set everything up.

  From the start Rob was expertly professional and took the time to explain the different options and how the system would work for our needs. We’ve had a fantastic experience with the whole NRG Solar team. Dave and Craig on the roof, Charlie and Chez on the electrics, Claire and Sam handling operations and handover have all been brilliant throughout: professional, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. A special mention also has to go to Alan, whose ongoing expertise and support have been exceptional. He is incredibly responsive to any questions we have about the system and is clearly passionate about ensuring it is optimised to its full potential. Our system includes 5.1kW Aiko panels, a 6.1kW system size, 30kWh Sigenergy battery storage and a 6kW inverter. Since going live we’ve only used 1.21kWh from the grid, and we’re already ahead of predicted savings for April despite export not even being live yet. The whole process has felt well organised and the workmanship has been excellent. Would highly recommend Rob and the NRG Solar team.

  I’m really pleased with the work carried out by NRG Solar. From start to finish, the whole team was professional, friendly and clearly took pride in what they were doing. The installation was completed to a high standard, and everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, which I really appreciated. There was a slight technical issue at one point, but what stood out was how committed the team were to resolving it. They were persistent, responsive and made sure everything was working perfectly before finishing the job. Overall, a great experience and a quality installation. I would definitely recommend NRG Solar to anyone considering solar panels.

  I originally contacted several solar companies, none came back with concrete proposals. Like a lot of people, i am a solar newbie.I was about to give up, then saw NRG on Facebook. I spoke with Rob,( on a Saturday) explained what I wanted, as many solar panels that could be fitted, the correct inverter, and enough storage . Within a few days he came back with a proposal and price. Within a fortnight he delivered exactly what we had discussed. The scaffolders were polite and quick, both to put it up and take it down, the fitters likewise. As a welcome bonus his expert on Solar, Alan turned out to be an absolute oracle, setting the system up remotely and as he said, always available to answer any questions. (5 stars) As a whole a great job, efficient installation highly recommended .Thanks to Rob ,Alan and all the team.
