5Excellent pre-installation survey showed me where I could make immediate improvements to keep the house warmer. Samso were very quick to commence installation once the approvals came through; their installation team talked me carefully through the apps and the correct energy tariffs to switch to, so I felt confident adjusting my heating and checking my solar generation (and have just received my first credit for homegrown power, which feels very rewarding!) Everything works well and the heating is very adjustable, light years ahead of what I had before with my aged gas boiler. It feels like the team is proud of their tech and proud of their mission to make homegrown, cleaner energy. Aftercare is also good and attentive. Government grant towards the heat pump was very quick and made a significant difference to the cost. All in, a very positive experience, I definitely recommend them.

4Samso Energy offered a good service from start to finish. the survey engineer was very thorough and explained everything in great detail but made it easy to understand. The follow up correspondence was good and timelines were on target. The scaffolders & engineers were excellent. Callum & Jack who installed the battery system were outstanding. His follow up call, because I was not present at installation, was invaluable and his explanation on how to use the app and what to do do next was clear & precise. My only complaint is regarding the delay in resolving the financials through Ideal4Finance after job completion because I was away on business and didn't immediately recognise their calls or text messages. They say they left voicemail messages but this was not the case. This miscommunication appears to have delayed getting the scaffolding removed and my ability to speak to our energy supplier to get a new energy deal.

4I have had a solar photovoltaic (PV) system installation done by Samso Energy, it has been a year after installation and the system is working great and I haven't had any problems with it. They installed 16 panels and a battery in a very quick time. They offer a very great price for the product that they provide. The initial contact I had with Samso Energy was very helpful and they were able to explain how everything would work perfectly. The only slight negative I would give them was with the communication regarding erecting the scaffolding in my garden, as I have a conservatory there and I have explained that multiple times to Samso but they assured me it would be no problem. Initially the scaffolding team weren't able to erect the scaffolding in my garden as they needed permission from my neighbour to use there garden to set up a beam support for the scaffolding. Overall I would recommend Samso Energy for a solar photovoltaic (PV) system installation as their product works great and is at a very good price compared to others.

1My experience with the 'ops' team was and still is very good, Caspian, Claire and also the 2 electricians that turned up 1st on the 1st day, all very helpful. The issue i have with Samso is with senior management and how they chose to abdicate all responsibilities when things did not go according to plan. Let me explain. Date was agreed, scaffolders turned up scaffolding erected front and back of the house, a few days later the 2 electricians turned up early in the morning and started their part of the install, few hours later the roofers turned up with the panels and other hardware. So all 4 of them were busy doing what they needed to do. Then there was a verbal commotion on the phone, between the lead roofer and the scaffolder from the previous day. It was so loud that the whole street could hear, and loud enough for me to get up from my chair to get up and find out what was going on. However before i got up to the front door, the lead electrician was knocking on the front door to apologies for all the noise and he'd got it stopped. basically the roofer wasn't happy with scaffolders. At about 3 o'clock ish, the roofers went home and the electricians left a few hours later after they'd helped me down-load the 'App'. The following morning i looked to admire the new panels and also had a few neighbours immediately asking questions about the install, i then noticed that there seemed to be no bird wire mesh. So i rang Samso to explain the situation and it needed to be done before the scaffolders came to take down the scaffolding, They said they would organise the scaffolders to fit the 'bird mesh'. They duly arrived, fitted the mesh and left, but the scaffolding was still there. I rang Samso to explain and emphasise that the scaffolding needed to go before Christmas, as we had family staying for Christmas and the scaffolding was taking up 3 parking spaces. They had 2 weeks before Christmas for it to be removed, but it was into the new year before anyone turned up to take it down. I know exactly why this happened, they were using my house as free storage for the scaffolding until it was required for the next job. It caused a huge amount of inconvenience to me and my family. I understand that "stuff" happens, but it was the attitude of Senior Samso management, their response was, 'the scaffolders are a 3rd party and Samso are not responsible for their actions', but Samso hired them, of course they are responsible. I was amazed at this response, and this response added fuel to my disappointment with Samso. In the end it became about Samso's attitude. All they had to do was take responsibility for their install, make a token gesture for the inconvenience they caused (say £150 of John Lewis Vouchers/gift card) and i would have been saying "well it wasn't a perfect install BUT they reacted professionally and made things right as possible" and i would have been promoting their services to family, friends and my neighbours. Hard to quantify the cost to Samso for this lack of 'taking responsibility', but taking responsibility i suspect would have been more cost effective. Final note, definitely recommend solar panels, already seeing the financial benefits. Just need to find someone to fit a Heat Pump. Joe

5From start to finish Samso were great. The surveyor knew his stuff and had done his home work on our property before his visit. (South facing, roof type etc. None of the other quotes we received did this). The fitters were spot on, and worked through to make sure all was fitted as quoted. (Battery location, cable routes etc) Aftercare has been second to none. The energy provider were hard work to getting us connected to the grid but the Samso team spoke with them direct and got everything sorted. Additionally the price was good too. All in all a great company. I would, and have recommend to others. Will use again when I move.
