  From the moment we walked in to view this home, we knew it was the right one. Having experience of working in adult social care and a recent stressful time of supporting a relative who had been discharged into a different care facility Brierfield was clearly an excellent place where person-centred care is what they do without exception. The residents love it there and the staff are brilliant. They have helped our relative get back to good health, there are always lots of activities and visiting entertainers and it's nice to visit with lovely areas to sit and refreshments provided when you do. The home is spotlessly clean and rooms are nice, food is home cooked and good quality, residents are constantly offered drinks and snacks between meals. At such a difficult time, the staff here go out of their way to support families alongside residents, staff respond positively to any questions and are caring and professional. We couldn't be more grateful and would highly recommend this care home to others.

  What can I say about this home that isn't positive. We contacted the care home as we need emergency respite for my mum. Upon on arrival we were greeted by the nursing manager, taken to look at 2 lovely rooms. My mums condition was taken into account. My mum had, had a stroke and was diagnosed with vascular dementia. They gave us advice on the best room with reasons why. We requested to get our mum there ASAP and that's what happened no fuss. Upon my mums arrival she was greeted warmly. Her bedroom was ready for her, we knew that leaving our mum she'd be upset, but the staff kept regular checks on her. Our mums loves the staff and has requested to adopt one of them saying she like the middle daughter with myself being the oldest and my sister the youngest. The treat our mum with respect and give her lots of care and attention. They have done wonders with mums health even though she's had a few health issues they've tackled each issue fast. One off our favourite times whilst mum has been there was mother's day. We are a large family and mum has several grandchildren. We were treated to an afternoon tea. My mums sister's are regular visitors, they think the home is fantastic and regularly have dinner with her. The home encourages you to have your dinner or tea with your relative making it feel like a home from home. When we asked for advise on what was going to happen next with our mum as she needs her time at the home extended. We where put at ease and was given all the information to keep mum there a little longer. And what can I say about her meals the food is fantastic and I can say this as I'm a regular at the table with mum having my dinner with her.x Would I recommend this lovely home yes 100% When it come to.the time that we need a home for my mum full time we'll be asking for a room in a place were she will be loved by the care staff and looked after as we would.

  We are very happy with the care my mum receives at Brierfield House. We had a shortlist and visited several homes, and Brierfield House stood out immediately—especially because of their transparency. We visited unannounced, and staff were completely open and welcoming. Residents spoke to us about how much they enjoy living there, which really sold it to us. They have nothing to hide, and that honesty meant a lot. The kitchen, housekeeping, management, care staff, and the wonderful activities co-ordinator Lucy all work together to create a warm and supportive environment. Brenda, the deputy manager, was incredibly helpful, organising the assessment and the logistics of moving my mum smoothly from her temporary placement. Nothing seems too much trouble—we can even book in to eat with Mum with a quick call to the kitchen the day before, which we really appreciate. Although I live far away, I have peace of mind knowing my mum is safe, cared for and treated with kindness. They made a stressful time so much easier for us as a family. One of the things that stood out is that all residents live together, with no separate dementia wing—everyone is integrated, not isolated, which builds a real community. They are gently bringing Mum out of her shell and helping her take part in activities, which is heartening after she was naturally reluctant to leave home. My mum’s room is lovely with a view of the trees, and the whole home is kept exceptionally clean. Staff are transparent, friendly and always welcoming to family members. Highly recommended.

  Management and staff always friendly and helpful. Home nice and clean and residents well cared for. I have always felt comfortable while visiting at Brierfield. Residents I've spoken too seem happy and settled.

The team strive to provide outstanding care and would treat your loved ones with the upmost respect and dignity. All members of the community are welcome to visit and see for yourself the links between the community and the home.

  The team at Brierfield House are incredibly kind and caring. The residents are supported in a person-centred and respectful way. The home is welcoming and clean.   I hold the home in very high regard following their care of my grandma before she relocated to her native South Wales. The entire team seemed to work cohesively to ensure duties were performed diligently and that all residents felt supported; ranging from management to the nurses to the kitchen and ancillary staff. It's testament to their dedication and values that I post this review to show my personal appreciation.
