  Very happy with service from Julie who arranged an electrian the same day. Carl the electrian replaced my extractor fan very professionally and without mess. Highly recommend and will use this company in the future.

  We have used Mackintosh & Parker several times over the last 8 years in both our rental properties and our own home. We will continue to do so for the foreseeable as they have always been very helpful and professional with high standards of workmanship. They answer all questions openly and are totally honest about what work does and doesn't need doing and fully explain their reasonings to ensure we understand. Their staff are friendly and polite and in all honesty they are a pleasure to work with! They do a good job, clean up after themselves and are happy in their work...I can honestly recommend them without hesitation.

  Mackintosh and Parker were employed to carry out a rewire of my home. During a time when they were the only people who had access to my home a fire occurred. It was from a cooker that they had been instructed to remove. They claim not to know how the fire started. They found my home filled with smoke. I have no idea what they found as they removed the cooker and evidence of fire from my home. They failed to inform the fire brigade that a serious incident had taken place. My home was ruined from extensive smoke damage and took months to be liveable again. I have been ill with the stress of having to deal with this. I had to claim on my insurance to the tune of many thousands. They threatened to take me to court if I did not pay. The company has also threatened to sue me for writing a negative review. They stated they would take responsibility for the fire but have been unwilling to offer any compensation. They now claim there was no fire which is false. I wouldn't recommend Mackintosh and Parker because of the poor way they have dealt with this situation and with me as a client.

  Dear Peter We appreciate your feedback and are sorry for the experience you’ve had. We understand your concern regarding the incident, but we would just like to clarify a couple of points in your review. There was no fire at your home, it was smoke damage, and it still hasn’t been determined how the incident happened. We did not remove the cooker from the property or destroy any evidence. We have kept all photographic evidence should you need it. As there was no fire the fire brigade did not need to be informed. As we are a legitimate professional company, we hold all the appropriate insurances for incidents such as this. You and your insurers still have the opportunity to claim via our insurance (details of which you hold) Our insurer is also still waiting for you to submit a claim for your out of pocket expenses so please contact them with any evidence as previously requested or contact us directly if you require these details once again. Finally, to be clear, we did not threaten to sue you for a negative review we simply asked you to remove the initial lies that were in your original review, some of which you have now revised so thank you for this.   Mackintosh and Parker Electrical supplied and installed all the electrics for my extension of a wet room, utility, sunroom and the outdoor lighting! I cannot recommend this company highly enough, Sandy Mackintosh completed the work to a very high standard and the finished product is amazing. I have Parkinson’s disease and having the adaptions to my home has made my daily living much easier.Mackintosh and Parker have shown such kindness and generosity as they did all the work without charging me and even donated all the materials used. I can never thank them enough and I am forever grateful. Thanks to all at Mackintosh and Parker.

  Absolutely first class service from Mackintosh and Parker when planning and completing works on our house extension. Works all carried out to a high standard and were really flexible in catering for our needs and offering professional advice throughout the works. Have used them many times since and have recommended to family and friends who are equally impressed.
