5Highly recommend the team at CAM Electrical. The engineer called Chad arrived 5 minutes early, ready to go. Installed 2 outdoor sockets, internal wiring and sockets for an outdoor office. The workmanship was 10 out of 10, and the attention to detail and pride when installing was great to witness. Callum also called to make sure we was happy with everything which we was. Highly recommend 10/10

5Great service from start to finish. Incredibly helpful and efficient when quoting and booking the job. Our Engineer; Chad, was very polite and helpful, worked quickly and provided an excellent service. Would definitely use again and would recommend to anyone, thank you.

1I was so disappointed by the workmanship and customer service during the first fix of a complete rewire that I terminated working with them for the second fix. Independent (non electrical) trade professionals (who I had not employed) raised concerns over the workmanship of the electrics and advised I discuss the points with CAM Electricals. I detailed all of the points in an email to CAM Electricals, stating that I had some concerns and please could we discuss the points raised. I stated I was emailing first so they had time to consider the points. Within minutes of hitting send on the email I received a phone call in response to the email from a moving vehicle with intermittent signal, certainly not conducive to discuss the points raised in the email. I was later told they call hands free from vans as this is when it is convenient for them, this about summed up the customer service I received. It transpires I was not advised on: isolator switches for under counter fridges and freezers. I was not advisor on a switch for the extractor fan, the sockets were sat on top of skirting boards meaning wires would rub. I was not advised on a wired smoke alarm. The wires used for the distribution box would have been immediately insufficient if the electrical company upgraded their box. A socket was fed from a single wire extending from another socket which I am told is just lazy when in the middle of a full rewire. The electrician cut holes in original 1920’s skirting boards and again multiple trades people have told me this could have been avoided. The industrial waste from the first fix was left outside the front door, with the electrician saying I wasn’t told to remove it. I had to follow up to get it removed. I was left without water for 6 days, because they thought that was ok and wouldn’t impact me. I found my original smoke alarm in the garden beeping which meant that my house insurance was invalid. I sought advice from a further two electricians and in fairness to CAM electricals invited them to discuss the issues at the property, even though on the first call CAM Electricals had told 'builders don't know what they are talking about and I should ignore them". I was offered a meeting at my house between 17.00 to 19.00 in February. I pointed out the house had no heating or electrics and it would be cold and dark. The response was, we will be as close to 17.00 and possible and will ring on route. I left messages at 17.30 and at 18.00. They never showed. I then wrote an email at 18.30 saying I was leaving the property to which they replied to the following day “sorry someone was sick and the office didn’t know”. I refused a second meeting, every issue had meant me leaving work in London and I still was not receiving a good or even minimal level of customer service. I had lost all faith in their capabilities. The sad thing is, CAM Electricals were recommended to me, I will certainly not be recommending them and it cost me an additional £1,000 to rectify the damage done and complete aspects that should have been advised from the start. My advise is, if you know nothing about domestic electrics do not use CAM Electricals. CAM Electricals do not offer that level of service and professional guidance and recommendations to customers. Why has it taken me so long to write the review; a combination of family illness and a renovation project, but I would not want someone to be in the same position as me where I felt CAM Electricals decided the house was small and an easy job and sent out a very inexperienced electrician.
