  The installation was seamless from original phone call, to discussion on what we wanted. The tradesmen who came were excellent from start to finish. They arrived at the time agreed, nicely turned out, extremely tidy, and left the area tidy not a single bit of rubbish left. They discussed everything with us, showed us how to use the app. This company was excellent from beginning to end, and also a great price. A proper electrical engineer company, not a fly by night solar company promising you a fabulous discount. SM Electrical are a good honest company, I would recommend to anyone. Thanks SM Electrical.

  Installation of a 10kw Battery and Inverter. 5 Stars from start to finish. Stuart kept in touch with us throughout a few issues caused delay, mainly by Scottish Power Grid services as we needed to be un-looped from our neighbour before we could get the work completed. We got an install date from SM very quickly after SP completed the unlooping. The team arrived when they said they would, completed the work on time and cleaned up and were very polite and friendly. A very professional and friendly service from a highly skilled team which is very hard to come by these days. I can't recommend them highly enough. We were super happy with the install and the after care support. A job very well done and will definitely be using again. Thanks to Stuart and his team.

  We moved home and had SM Electrical Services Ltd install our solar system, we had installed a similar system at our old property with another installer and it was a nightmare so was very apprehensive. We were so pleasantly surprised with SM Electrical from the very first phone call everyone was very professional and nothing seemed a problem, we spoke to them a number of times and any queries where answered straight away or we had a phone call back usually the same day. Installation day we had two of the nicest guys who were so clued up and completed work with no hassle. We had three storage batteries along with 16 solar panels, car charger and soffit lights installed. They sorted the MCS quickly and the export tariff was done with Octopus by ourselves. In summary a company we would recommend 100% with old fashioned customer service with all staff giving a great experience, thanks to Stuart and the team.

  SM Electrical Services have just completed the install of solar panels and batteries at our home. From the very beginning, the service and communication has been excellent. Everything was planned and explained along with all the paperwork involved and what was required for the install. The installation was done exactly when agreed and the team did a fantastic job. A very neat and organised install and all done in the time allocated including some extra electrical work we requested. The system was up and running when complete and it looks great, which was a major concern for us! I would highly recommend for any solar installation and electrical work.

  Good work despite some unforeseen difficulties. The only company that answered our questions about a battery set-up that would supply our house in the event of a grid failure. If they didn’t know the answer then they went and found out. I would use them again.

  I highly recommend SM Electrical Services Ltd. I dealt with Stuart to install solar panels and a battery in September 2025 following getting three quotes and doing loads of research for the best panels and battery. He visited on site to discuss the requirement and I received a very competitive quote and an answer to all my questions. Everyone involved in the install were professional, knowledgeable and friendly. My solar panels are generating well and the app is showing me that I am 100% self sufficient and have received my first quarterly payment from my export tariff. Next is underfloor heating and I will be calling Stuart.
