1I never even managed to get a charger installed by this company. After arranging working-from-home hours to attend a scheduled virtual home survey, the agent failed to show up. I rescheduled, completed the survey, and accepted their subsequent quotation they provided . My file was then passed to their "scheduling team," who ultimately scheduled nothing at all. Despite my repeated calls over a six-week period, customer service continually claimed the job was sitting with the scheduling department but never provided an installation date. Even threatening to escalate the matter to their complaints team yielded zero progress. Avoid this company if you value your time and money. PS how they managed to have such high review on Trustpilot is a complete mystery to me......

1I chose this company based on positive reviews and because they were recommended by Tusker. The initial response was quick and helpful, which gave me confidence to proceed. However, once the installation was completed, the experience changed completely. It has been extremely difficult to contact them—calls involve waiting 20–25 minutes just to get through, and follow-ups are inconsistent. I’ve been told multiple times that someone would contact me, but no one ever did. The pricing is also on the higher side compared to local installers. What’s disappointing is that the work is subcontracted anyway, so you end up paying more for the same service. In my case, the subcontracted engineer didn’t seem to have a clear understanding of integrating solar PV with a Zappi charger, despite me explaining this requirement clearly during the pre-install survey. Even after installation, the system was not properly integrated, and I was later told I would need to pay extra for an additional CT clamp to make it work. This should have been identified and included from the beginning. After checking with local installers, I found quotes that were £250–£300 cheaper, and one even offered the newer Zappi GLO at a lower price than what I paid. Overall, I feel frustrated with my decision to go with this company. Poor communication, higher costs, and unresolved issues have made this a disappointing experience. I would not recommend this company and have shared my experience with colleagues as well.

4Leaving this review post charger installation, but before accepting delivery of EV. So will amend if there are any functionality problems. Can't fault the fitter. Andreyan was quick, tidy and pleasant. Happy to chat and give me some ideas on my electrical setup. Called before the appointment to tell us he was coming. And he went out of his way to find me the right charger when the wrong one was listed on the order sheet. Loses a star as the office admin advice did not reflect reality. Advice was that EV isolator would go in the meter box. That's not the case, it's generally a rules no-no. Ultimately, that didn't affect me as there was lots of room inside the garage near the consumer unit. But had circumstances been different, I should have been told that an isolator would be fitted on an outside wall, not in the meter box. Please say what you'll do and do what you say. And despite having a very specific conversation with the online assessor, AND filling in their form asking for a specific charger, the worksheet on installation day still had the wrong one listed. Ultimately it would have charged the car the same, but the one I ordered had more functionality to it, and more important, cost me more to order. A less savvy customer would have been short-changed had they not noticed. Had it not been for the initiative of the installer to source the right charger from the next town over, I would have had to have the installation done over two different days. So overall good. With tighter admin, this would have been great. Will update if and when any oddities appear with the charging capability once my vehicle has been delivered.

1Never managed to get my charger installed and had to cancel the order with my supplier. On the first occasion after a 6 week wait I got a call on the morning saying the engineer was sick. They then said the earliest appointment was 8 weeks later on the first of May. On 1st of April they phoned to cancel and said the engineer had quit (only one engineer in Glasgow apparently), spoke to my supplier who then got back to me a week later saying May 1st appointment was back in place. On May the 1st, no engineer and told by ChargedEV after 40 mins on hold that there was no appointment. Phoned the supplier who couldn't get hold of ChargedEV to get a new appointment. Had to cancel and give up after 3 months. Good luck

5David installed my electric vehicle charger and did an excellent job from start to finish. He was professional, punctual, and clearly very knowledgeable about the installation process. He took the time to explain everything, made sure the setup was neat and safe, and left the area clean once the work was done. The charger works perfectly, and the whole process was smooth and hassle-free. I’d definitely recommend David to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled installer.

1Constantly being pushed back. I get an installation date only for it to be cancelled 1-2 days before the actual appointment. My original appointment date was 9th April and now I'm all the way back to the 3rd June!!!

1The scheduled EV charger installation on 25 February experienced multiple service and communication failures. Despite contacting ChargedEV at 9:45am to confirm the installer’s arrival, no update was provided, despite assurances that someone would call or text. A further call at 12:33pm resulted in a tentative arrival time of around 2pm, which did not materialise. At 3pm, it became clear the installer had not attended. A text from the installer at 3:20pm confirmed that the charger had not been delivered and that ChargedEV had been informed “first thing in the morning” — yet this information was not passed on during earlier calls. This resulted in a full day being wasted, with my husband taking time off work unnecessarily. Following this, several promised call backs did not occur. While earlier alternative appointments were offered, none were reasonable: a same-day installation was suggested with minimal notice, and a later appointment proposed installing a charger that was the wrong colour, despite us having specifically ordered (and paid extra for) a white unit. Throughout the process, repeated failures to communicate, failure to return calls, and attempts to offer unsuitable solutions caused significant inconvenience. The only compensation requested (<£100) was reimbursement of the additional costs incurred from using public chargers during the 3wk delay (vs home charging) — no claim was made for distress or lost time, despite the significant disruption to both of our working days. Despite escalating my complaint on 23/03, the firm have failed to respond. I have provided multiple opportunities for them to put things right, but there is clearly no desire to do so

5David has been fantastic. He identified the fault with our EV charger and explained what the issue was. He then managed to rectify the problem very quickly. Very impressed with the speed and efficiency. I definitely recommend David.
