  We have had many housing development in recent years in our village of Barton, but the one managed by The Sovini Group has been absolute hell. Temporary traffic lights causing untold misery, then being removed because they broke the terms of their permit, reinstated again with mile long tailbacks, destroying the road and leaving the immediate area looking like an eyesore, and taking YEARS to finish. The houses don't even look nice after all the problems either. The most generic lego houses you'll ever see. We're now on our 4th set of temporary traffic lights that have been up for months and have overrun their permitted time AGAIN. No one in the village can drive anywhere without sitting in traffic for up to an hour. Only The Sovini Group have caused so much problems building what is a comparatively a small estate. Other developers have built much larger estates in half the time with nowhere near as much disruption and without causing anywhere near as much damage. Incompetence at all levels and awful community relations from start to finish (if they ever finish!). Anyone buying one of these lego houses would be well advised to get a full snag survey done ASAP.

  If their consideration toward the local community in Barton, Preston is anything to go by, Sovini have no regard for the inconvenience and disruption they cause. Their development off the busy A6 has caused no end of misery. Regular temporary lights (most recent 3 weeks) causing 25 minute plus delays, rubble from the site deposited on the road and pavements causing multiple potholes, contractors blocking pavements with parked vehicles, no answer to emails raising genuine concerns. The only thing they seem successful at is infuriating an entire local community.
