  Recent install with South Scotland Solar, which are delighted with. We had several quotes from different companies in the East of Scotland, but settled with South Scotland Solar, initially based on them having excellent reviews and from very recent projects. The other companies had reviews but were from a couple of years ago. From the start of the process Callum and Liam were great and provided us with invaluable advice throughout the entire process. Our system has been up and running for almost 2 months now and with Callum's assistance we are now getting paid from Octopus for our excess solar and our overall generation figures are way better than we had expected. Cannot recommend South Scotland Solar highly enough, thanks Callum

  We are very pleased we chose South Scotland Solar for our PV and battery install. We’d had designs and quotes from several installers but only South Scotland designed a system would provide emergency power backup despite asking all suppliers. Their price was competitive too. They specified a Sigenergy system which we’d not heard of but is excellent with a modular design and very good app based control. It lets us optimise use of battery, solar panels and tariffs. Despite being their first Signenergy install and ours being an unusual site, everything went smoothly. Callum and his team are friendly and approachable. There’s no hard sell sales push that I’ve experienced with other firms. So we’re very happy to recommend them - spend time thinking about what you want and discuss it with them. Then enjoy much lower bills and environmental impact. Thanks!

  We spoke to several installers in preparation for a major refurbishment of our roof, and Callum really impressed us with his depth of knowledge. It was a tricky install, working around other trades, but Callum’s team did a highly professional job, and we are delighted with the results.   Following my recent solar and battery installation, I am very happy to recommend South Scotland Solar Ltd.  Calum & Liam were easy to deal with, and they really helped me better understand my requirements. They supplied, installed and commissioned the complete system, and carried out all the associated paperwork necessary for the grid connection and export. I started receiving export payments in under 4 weeks, which I understand is quick. I've had a keen interest in using solar & battery for a few years, and after a lot of investigating and exploring options and costs, I finally took the plunge.  There are lots of enticing offerings around, but I wanted to deal with an established local company with a proven history and good reviews. So I contacted South Scotland Solar Ltd. for a proposal and explained that I did not want a visit from a salesperson but wanted to discuss with someone with the skill/knowledge and practical experience.  Liam visited and I explained what I wanted and we had a good and varied chat around all associated aspects. Liam carried out a roof survey, checking the mains electric setup, battery location etc., and a few days later I received a detailed design proposal and costs. Interestingly, their calculated payback time matched mine, but was calculated on an entirely different basis.  I use a smart "Time of Use" tariff where my average electric unit cost is significantly below the standard rate, so potentially I had a longer payback, but by importing when cheap and exporting later the sums made sense. I am very happy with the system's performance and with the service received from South Scotland Solar Ltd.
