  I had a bad experience with Kingsley Roofers. I paid them a total of £7500. They ruined my roof. Cowboys still ain’t done any repairs in 3 yrs. just ignored me.

  We’re sorry that you feel this way. As discussed previously, we were originally asked by yourself to inspect a leaking roof on your extension. Upon attending, we found that the existing tiled roof was not fit for purpose due to the pitch being too low. For this reason, a flat roof system with ventilation was installed. Approximately three years ago, during the winter period, you contacted us regarding widespread leaks. In response, we arranged for the warranty providers to attend. They carried out inspections, testing, and core samples, as detailed in the report that was provided to you. Their findings confirmed that there was no vapour control layer (VCL) beneath your plasterboard. As a result, condensation was identified as the cause of the issue. This relates to the original construction of the extension (including the unsuitable tiled roof) and is not linked to the roof installation we carried out. Unfortunately, we cannot be held responsible for defects arising from previous or third-party work. This has been explained on several occasions. We understand that building repairs can be stressful and costly, and we’re sorry that you feel dissatisfied. However, we strongly refute the suggestion that you were “ripped off,” as this is not the case.

  Many thanks to Robyn and Dale. Both very helpful polite and professional. Working with the customer to find a convenient time for both customer and company. Arrived when agreed, spent time to listen to the problem and then took a very professional approach to solving the problem. Would definitely contact Kingsley solar if I ever need them in the future, plus would recommend them to anyone regarding solar installation or operating systems.

  Kingsley Roofing Services carried out the cleaning of our solar panels of many years of grime that was blocking the sun. The panels are back to full efficiency now. Paul and Dale arrived on time and did a great job. I can recommend the service given and the method that they used. Terry Bream

  Sadly, I’ve had a really poor experience with Kingsley roofers. I was so distraught I sought legal advice but due to the cost I have decided to cut my losses and just use the money to pay another company to fix the mess they made. I paid over 10k to replace my roof only to find three years later it leaks in two places. It’s worse than the roof they replaced. I politely approached them to advise of the issues and they sent someone round. They have told me it’s not the tiles they replaced but the coping stones that are leaking, and some missing guttering they failed to replace. I understand this however I believe they should have informed me this would likely be a problem in the near future at the initial consultation. I’m sure it would not be beyond an experienced roofer to anticipate this given the age of the property. Had they informed me of this I would have agreed to have the coping stones replaced or repointed whatever it needed at the time. Obviously, I don’t have the expertise to guess this may pose an issue so was reliant on them to inform me. It’s not unreasonable to expect when you pay this large amount of money that all areas of the roof would be addressed, not to do the bare minimum. As it stands, I do not have the time or emotional energy to deal with this, I’m not usually one to leave negative reviews, I know it can damage a business, but I feel very strongly that consumers should be protected. So, at the very least I am taking the time to warn other people about this company, their shoddy work and the disinterest of the owner to resolve this.

  Afternoon Penny, We carried out your roof replacement almost 3 and a half years ago, unfortunately it is not possible for us to predict if other parts of your property would begin to fail in this time period. If it was something that was an issue at the time we would of recommended carrying out repair works. We have since carried out a free drone survey & clearly showed you the issues with the coping stones & points of ingress For you to say "fix the mess they made" & "shoddy work" I feel is very dishonest as these issues are nothing to do with the work we carried out in the first place. We're sorry you feel this way but as mentioned, these are 2 completely separate issues you are trying to blame us for.

  Quoted £250 to fix some slipped tiles and reattach my gutter. Did the work, but left the gutter leaning but said it wouldn’t impact and would come back and sort it if it did. The job was completed in May and he is still yet to come back and sort, after me asking since May. Meanwhile the water continues to leak out. Gave me a date to come out and never turned up, ignores messages. To add I’m a vulnerable adult with disabilities and just been left with unfinished shoddy job. I have also found out as a friend looked up there for me that there is rubble in my gutters adding weight to the already leaning gutter, rubble that can only be from the roof job. Not very happy and I’ve waited patiently for this to be resolved. This company states they are reliable and no job is too small. Why not come and fix mine then as promised :(

  I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Everyone from the office staff to the workmen were helpful and did a good job. They did everything when they said they would and were very reasonably priced.
