  Pros:professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Quick test to try to find intermittent fault but consumer unit was ok. Explained likely issue was overloading due to large house so unresolved but told to monitor which is fine. Provided a quote for other work which showed good initiative. Cons: wanted small deposit up front Needed to request invoice since original invoice was for up to 2 hours fault diagnosis and electrician completed tests within 1 hour. Eventually resolved. Persistent emails and texts early in the morning to pay invoices or accept quotes and to follow up and leave a review despite requesting no more texts. No option to stop texts by replying via text. Left cable after job still no interest in picking it up despite sending several emails.

With intermittent faults, it is not always possible to identify the exact cause during an initial visit, particularly where overloading or appliance-related issues may be involved. Our fault-finding appointments are booked as dedicated investigation slots rather than charged strictly by time on site, as intermittent faults can sometimes require multiple stages of testing and diagnosis. Once you raised the invoice query, we were happy to review and resolve it quickly. We’re sorry to hear you were unhappy with some aspects of our communication. We do send automated reminders for outstanding invoices, quotations and review requests as part of our standard system, but we appreciate your comments and will take them on board. We also apologise regarding the cable left behind and any frustration caused there. We do genuinely appreciate the opportunity to attend and your balanced comments regarding the engineer himself.

  After a few initial booking issues with the electronic process it was easy to arrange for a wired video doorbell to be fitted along with arranging a time and date. The team at LA Electrical and solar were very helpful. The electrician arrived on time and explained the work needed and carried it out efficiently and cleaned up afterwards. He stayed until I was happy the doorbell was working.

  I'm a Property Developer and have been for many years so really know the difference between the "good, the bad and the ugly", I've used LA Electrical & Solar several times and they are definitely up there with the "good". They provide an excellent, reliable and professional service with a proper upfront attitude and at fair reasonable prices. I highly reccommend them and will certainly use them again when needed.
