  The team at Albatross were great, we have a fantastic new heating system and I've reduced my bills. Our project: We have a property with several different floor types, some concrete some wooden as well as various ceiling heights and a lot of glass. We were looking to upgrade from our existing oil boiler, heating and water system, that had been in the house since it was built 35 years ago. We struggled with hot and cool areas and couldn’t solve this problem. Albatross carried out a thorough heat loss survey assessing the various thermal properties and existing radiator capabilities. The results were compared to the heat pumps available and balancing needed to allow for both underfloor and radiator output. We also had a new water heating system installed. Result: Absolutely fantastic. The team kept us informed along the way and allowed us to make informed decisions that suited our budget. We were advised of the testing results, the implications of doing things in different ways, the required upgrades to get the desired results (1 radiator, new water tank). The house is at a constant temperature of 21 degrees and dropping to 15 degrees at night. The computer systems intelligently monitors indoor and outdoor temperature and automatically adjusts as required. Our bills have since reduced considerably and we have been put on a special tariff by the electricity company.

  Had a great experience with Albatross Heating. Freddie was the installer and did a fantastic job – he communicated clearly throughout, was professional, and clearly knew his stuff. He installed a BWT water softener and also went above and beyond by fixing a number of issues left by the previous owner. This included reconfiguring the Nest thermostat, replacing a faulty zone valve, and resolving some underlying electrical problems with the heating system. Everything’s now working smoothly. Highly recommend both the company and Freddie in particular.

  When our heat pump broke down Albatross Heating was really responsive and able to visit to review the problem the next day. Despite the issue being quite complex and requiring replacement parts, the heating / hot water was restored the same day. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Albatross Heating, they were quick, polite and efficient.

  Fred and the team installed a heat pump for me on a flat roof (which is an unusual install for most companies), at a competitive price. Service from start to finish was brilliant, they went above and beyond to integrate with some other building work we were having done. The heat pump is working great and their aftercare is fantastic. Would highly recommend.
