  Install of our south facing 12 panel array with 12kw battery storage was completed today. From enquiry to completion of install this company has been great. The contractor they used was excellent, all work completed to a very high standard. I will recommend to anyone considering a solar install with a decent guarantee. Time to start soaking up some sunshine!

  Fantastic service from start to finish, kept in the loop every step of the way. highly recommend. early days with my install, but already I can see my energy usage and grid reliance is very small.

  We had a video consultation with Sue. Absolutely, awesome. Walked us through everything. Regarding the installation and spoke on benefits, gave us a really detailed tutorial of how things work. We discussed the pricing models, very transparent, answered all our questions. We'll definitely be happy to consider Sunsave in the future.

  Straightforward, easy to follow and clearly explained service from start to finish. Very happy with the lead-in process and installation. Suited us very well as the costs are spread over several years at 0% interest. It’s the only way we could afford such an install. Highly recommended company. Hope more people get to hear about them and utilise this great way of buying and installing solar panels.

  Sunsave were good all the way through from initial conversations to installation and setting up. Minor issue with scaffolders breaking a ridge tile but sorted very quickly. Good communication and willingness to listen to customer as well as advise. I have decent knowledge and suggested some changes to equipment that once looked at showed to be looking like the best way to go. Staff have always been helpful and quick to respond. I have a large capacity so generating alot more than we use and this is paying a good amount of money at the moment even though it's still only April. Actual generation has been above estimates so far since install in February. Overall would definately recommend for a way to get into solar power at little initial expense.

  Poor, over repetitive comms. Then cancel consultation at the 11th hour with no explanation/data other than saying our home not suitable.

  Hey Denis, we’re really sorry about this! You’re right that we originally thought we could work with you, and sent you some emails before you booked in your consultation. When we took a closer look, we realised the scaffolding would be more complicated and expensive than we originally anticipated. So we cancelled the consultation, and reached out to by email with an explanation. Because of the shape of your roof, you’d only fit a few panels on. That means you wouldn’t be generating enough energy to offset the extra costs of your installation, or make a significant saving. As we said in our email though, we’re happy to discuss it with you if you think we’ve got it wrong, or if savings aren’t your main motivator. At Sunsave, we pride ourselves on transparency, and we’ll always be honest if your savings aren’t worth it. But we appreciate that initially booking the consultation and then cancelling must be disappointing, and we’ve passed that feedback on internally. We’ll take a look at how we can better handle this scenario in the future.   I came across these guys on Google and thought I should give them a try given the situation outside and also noticed the price of solar has come down by at least 30% in the last 6-12 months. So, Sunsave is very good on paper and that was the primary attraction tbh. Their how it works demo was good too. Their strategy to lock in a customer for 20 years is great The problem - the eligibility system to get into the financial plan is the strictest I have ever seen till date. I mean I have a mortgage , had car finances few times in the past and many other financial products that gave me credit over time. But Sunsave is something else, they will say it ll take 2-3 minutes to complete your eligibility check and its going to be a soft check etc etc. after going through that , for whatever reason if they dont have an understanding of your finances they ll ask for additional documents and from here on its like applying for a mortgage with way more documentation than what a bank would ask for. If you complete the eligibility and move forward , these guys maybe good like other reviews say about the product. When the product works, it’s always great but when issues arise, the details matter. Ohh and the total amount for 20years will show in your credit report. They also say that the plan can be transferable when you sell a house , great ! But, what happens if the guy fails on eligibility for whatever reason? You should buy the system and jack up the house price. I doubt anyone would do that during the house move which is a pain. Anyone who went through selling a house can understand and if you haven’t been in the space yet check this review. But I think this is going to cause more headaches. The good thing about solar now a days is the competition is huge and there are loads of companies that are able to do this . Hopefully this review will help users who are in a similar situation as me. Happy solarsavings!!!

Usually the checks are quick, but Sunsave Plus is a financial product and we have a duty as an FCA-regulated company to lend responsibly, so sometimes we need to check things in more detail. As for your point on moving home, you’re right that if you move house and want to transfer your Sunsave Plus contract to the new owner, they’d need to go through the same eligibility process! If they didn’t pass for any reason, you’d need to pay off the remaining balance, but you could do this before or after the house sale. There are no additional charges or hidden fees for this, and you don’t need to repay any future interest or monitoring and maintenance fees.
