Friendly, reliable and trustworthy. Alan, Callum and their team have carried out many jobs for us in the past 6 years or so. I am especially grateful for the times they have assisted us quickly in an emergency situation, that could have been worse had they not. We live in an old house and that comes with its challenges. It’s a comfort to know they are just down the road.

Excellent and efficient service; arriving on time for the job, providing a recommendation and delivering the repairs within the timeframe I was initially quoted for. Fully recommend this family based company to anyone in the Meltham / Netherton and Holmfirth area.

So, having hunted about for 6 months for somebody reliable to fit a heat pump (not something you want doing by somebody inexperienced) I settled on Alan and the team to do the job and don't regret it. From the off, Alan was helpful (inviting me around to view the heat pump he had in his own house). Alan wasn't the cheapest quote I had , but on reflection, looking at the work done and the attention to detail and the obvious knowledge and experience, I am glad I didn't go "cheap". And I would encourage you to do the same. The job was far more work than I had realised (for them , not for me - it was a fixed price) - but I realised why it wasn't cheap, they did a LOT of work in the loft and hot water tank and outside. They really earned their cash. I realise now, why cheaper installers , that maybe don't do all that work, why some people then have bad results with heat pumps and others don't. It isn't the heat pump, its the install. And these guys know what is really needed. So, lots of shiny new pipes and kit - and my house is lovely and warm and the unit outside is whisper quiet (quieter than my old gas boiler outlet) and everyrhing is neartly done and put back together. Result!. Speaking of the old gas boiler outlet - I had expected to find that still sticking out of my house wall but no, Callum, removed it as I didn't need it any more (not all installers would have bothered). Given it was removed, I went to check what it looked like outside - I expected some mortar in the old position to block up the hole. But no. They had gone to the trouble of removing the old half a brick, and replacing it with a new "whole brick" so there is literally zero trace of there ever having been anything there. Total attention to detail that I know I wouldn't have got from most other installers. If any. I was so impressed. While I can't claim to understand all the other things they did and why (i am no heating engineer), haviing seen the attention to detail on the things I do understand, I have complete faith in the other work. And thoroughly nice blokes they are too. Five stars and well deserved! Great job guys.

Thank you John. That is really appreciated. This job wasn't the easiest. Who needs the gym when we can carry one one those units half way around the valley 🤣 Getting the appreciation for what we do makes it all worth while, these days it feels like a battle running a business. There is a poem by JR Ruskin i got shown in my early days, it resonates every day. “There is hardly anything in the world that someone cannot make a little worse and sell a little cheaper, and the people who consider price alone are that person’s lawful prey. It’s unwise to pay too much, but it’s worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money — that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot — it can’t be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”

Outstanding service, cannot recommend highly enough. My auntie, in her 70s, needed an urgent boiler replacement and Alan and the team were superb in getting things sorted ASAP.
