  Great people and very tidy job. Liam and his team replaced an old ground source heat pump with an up to date version taking care to find something appropriate to deliver the heating needed but still fit in the limited space of the old one. They dealt with the whole process whilst we were away and we returned to a nice tidy job with a new efficient boiler and a follow up visit to make sure we knew how to work it. It’s been great and all efforts were much appreciated. Sarah & Ivan

  Having recently moved house I was looking to install a new solar system as I left one behind in the old house. Some challenges faced were poor support the day after the system was installed, lack of MCS certificate making sale of the house a problem, some wiring issues my electrician spotted on a visit some months later (I had him fix it). So looking to spend a pile of money and concerned about a repeat – finding someone who would do the job PROPERLY was paramount. I did not want to throw a ton of money at people who would just slap something into place, and I’d never see them again. I had Custom Renewables shortlisted for a heat pump install as their reviews were exceptionally good and pictures of their work showed high quality installations and finishes. I had separate quotes for air conditioning and solar installations but once speaking to Mark he indicated they undertook whole renewable projects including solar and air conditioning. He quoted as a total project which was decently priced vs my separate quotes from my shortlisted suppliers. He took the time to visit the house multiple times to ensure he clearly understood my requirements, offered advice on hot water cylinder relocation, aircon setup and unit locations (whole house), heat pump and pipe run considerations and some other minor plumbing support (sink change, fixed water pressure to house, shower re silicon etc). This was a large project with various trade specialities. Neil, Garry, Harry you guys were superb – looked after my home and concerns with consideration. Performed a top-notch install and debated all my ideas and plans and offered advice where I was maybe going a little too far left field 😊. Everything just works. Heat pump has house exactly how we want it, aircon’s (not used much yet as it is cold) are all working with Alexa integration for automatic on off as well as app control should we wish to turn on whilst out of the house. Solar (33 panels) is generating a ton of electricity across 4 roofs and 4 MPPT’s paired with a 45kw Sigenergy Battery. I have received my DNO export for full 12kw inverter value. The early maths is showing that I will very likely achieve a net zero cost for the year or potentially a small profit Gas has been disconnected and not missed. Custom renewables also installed an EV-Charger and I have managed to fill up the car battery a number of times purely on solar power. This review is a couple of months late (DIY has been keeping us busy) and I can report that everything is still working perfectly, I have no regrets. I have had the odd question and Mark from custom renewables has always been there to respond. He has also checked in a few times to ensure we are satisfied. I can highly recommend Custom renewables for Heat Pumps, Solar and Airconditioning.

  Mark and the team were professional throughout. A number of visits to our house to check all the work that was required prior to the installation, all prep work done on time and the installation also done as planned and on time. All works were done with minimal intrusion and at all stages the house was left clean and tidy. Follow-up visits have been completed to ensure the installation is working as expected and all waste was tidied up within a day or two. Thoroughly recommend.

  I found Mark and the team via Heat Geek's Elite Installer listing after being disillusioned by multiple MCS-certified installers who proposed oversized heat pumps (2 x 15kW in one case) without considering anything beyond the building's floor area. The team at Custom Renewables employed modern heating engineering processes to design an underfloor heating and domestic hot water system for my new build. The process started with system sizing based on detailed heat-loss and hot water usage calculations for the building. With this, they sized and selected a Viessmann ASHP and the cylinder, then created a plumbing and UFH pipe layout. They used a snail pattern to minimise hot and cold spots on the floor. I had many questions throughout the process, which were always answered promptly and with confidence. The installation, which was done in phases, was conducted in a neat, tidy, and professional manner. As a freebie, Mark even instructed my bathroom plumbers on how best to join MLCP pipework to avoid leaving gaps in the insulation.

  A redesign of our existing ASHP system, first installed 5 years ago. Work carried out was fast and without fuss. I was kept informed throughout the process as to the changes being made and the benefits. Final adjustments a week later have shown the new system to be a significant improvement. House is warmer and controls seem more responsive. Would highly recommend. Many thanks to Liam and Jordan

  Liam and the team at Custom Renewables installed a SigenStor system with 2 batteries and 12 solar PVs at my residential home. I felt at all times I received generally good all-round energy advice, and was invited to ask questions. Liam spent plenty of time engaging with these as well as working around various other building work going on at the time. The quote I received was complete, there wasn't any surprise add-ons needed to get something that actually worked and the kit seems decent quality. On the install, everything was tidy, they responded to requests around placement of the devices. When they were short some materials due to an unexpected upgrade in PV size and output (nice), they came back straight away to finish, even on a Saturday. When they noticed by monitoring after the install (without any prompting from me) that a PV string was not delivering output, they came and fixed the connection without needing any request. I get the impression they want to install a good system that works, not just do what they need to get paid, then leave it. I'll use them again in future for a heat pump and air-conditioning.

  Excellent service from start to finish We had a fantastic experience with Custom Renewables. From the first meeting, Liam took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from our replacement air source heat pump and carried out a very detailed room-by-room survey to design the right system for our home. The installation team, Karl and Justin, arrived exactly when scheduled and did a brilliant job. They were friendly, hardworking and very tidy. After installation, Karl explained the system clearly and Liam returned a few days later to check everything and fine-tune the settings so each room reached the desired temperature. Great service, great communication, and a very professional team throughout. We couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend Custom Renewables.

  Just to say a huge thanks for all the crew at Custom Renewables LTD who have just fitted a new air source heat pump for me. The survey was carried out by Liam, the plumbing installation by Carl and the electrics by Justin. The works were carried out to a high standard and all the lads were very neat. Emma, from the office kept the whole process ticking along, keeping me informed of what was happening when. All in all, a great company and one I will be using again and one I can not recommend high enough.

  True professionals! Liam and his team rescued us when the installer we had selected for our heat pump let us down. Liam's knowledge of heat pumps is epic! We've been warm and cosy through our first winter AND reduced our energy costs . Our CoP has never gone below 4.4 since October. Carl did most of our installation. He's justifiably proud of his pipework and it was a pleasure to have him in our home. Whatever your project, you really should speak to Custom Renewables. We cannot recommend them highly enough.
