  Of the five people from whom I sought quotations for the removal of a gas water system and the provision of an air source heat pump, Peter of Just Heating was the only one who looking at the existing system gave an alternative to a hot water cylinder, in a Thermino. The storage of electric power rather than water has provided faster hot water at a higher temperature to all taps and appliances. The office have controlled and given helpful timing on the team who installed it neatly and quickly. They explained its operation. They have the system to tie in with the Government grant system and take away the interface with Government grant applications where many others are not so registered. To me it has been interesting to see what effect this has had on the consumption of electricity from the PV panels and it’s divergence to the air source heat pump. It is too short to tell but it would seem to have had very little difference and certainly less than would have been the cost of gas used and the daily charge for its availability.   The annual service on our combi oil boiler was carried out in a thoroughly professional manner. The engineer arrived at the appointed time, explained what was to be done and completed the work in a timely manner. He also carried out an inspection of our oil tank.
