  We upgraded our vehicle through my company’s electric vehicle scheme via Octopus EV and required a charger installed at my property. Unfortunately Octopus were unable to complete an install due to groundwork that was apparently required due our garage / parking space being a fair distance from our property, meaning significant upheaval and additional cost. We reached out to CS Electrical based on numerous recommendations to see whether they could help - they were able to assess the situation and provide a solution to what we thought was going to be a real issue. Chris talked us through the options and recommended a Zappi GLO charger that was app based with RFID and WiFi connectivity, therefore not requiring the works originally suggested by Octopus. Communication and workmanship were excellent and would highly recommend CS Electrical to anyone requiring this type of work doing.

  We initially had solar installed by another Cornish company around 18 months ago and sadly it was a terrible experience. We discovered the installation was so poor that it didn’t even comply with the manufacturer’s warranty, and in the end, after 4 months of pursuing them, the whole system was removed. It was a very cumbersome and stressful time that involved navigating our way through an industry that we didn’t know. We then got in touch with Chris Selby, from CS Electrical and Renewables, a local solar installer and the difference was incredible. From the very first visit he was professional, honest, and it was evident he had the technical knowledge. Chris took the time to explain everything properly, designed a system that was suitable for our home and needs, and carried out the installation with care and attention to detail. We also received a handover pack, something we had never received from the first solar installer. The end result is fantastic — everything is neat, works perfectly, and most importantly, it’s been done to the proper standard so we finally have peace of mind. Chris completed the install himself, with no subbing of work / third parties involved. After such a bad start with our first install, we honestly couldn’t be happier with the work Chris has carried out. We highly recommend Chris to anyone considering having PV installed.

  Chris arrived to fit my solar panels and quickly established I need a roof replacement first as my roof was past it’s sell by date showing me pictures of the state of my tiles. My installation was put off until my roof was replaced, Chris could have gone ahead and fitted my panels without telling me about the roof which in the long term would have been much more expensive. After the roof was replaced Chris returned with his team and fitted my panels without telling me top quality materials minimal fuss, very neat, thorough and tidy and then explained how the app worked. I would recommend CS electrical to anyone.

  Chris installed our new solar panels and battery system in Newquay. We are delighted with his work. He is a very tidy worker and has clearly taken much care with the installation. He was very patient during the quotation process; was continually available to answer our questions and at no time did we feel any pressure to place an order. The system installed works as anticipated and Chris continues to be available to answer any questions. Just wish we had done it sooner! Really pleased and can highly recommed Chris.

  Our solar system consists of 24 PV solar panels(8kW output), 2 Tesla Powerwall batteries, a Myenergi controller and a Zappi (7kW) EV charger. Chris provided the complete package from design and planning approval to installation and commissioning. He provided an outstanding level of professionalism throughout, and since the installation in late August, we have not imported any electricity from the grid ! Delighted with the Green Energy Solar System and I would thoroughly recommend Chris Selby of CS Electrical South West Ltd.

  Chris is an exceedingly talented Electrical Engineer, with an eye for detail, efficiency of the pv system he is supplying, and the aesthetic impact of the installation on the house. I am delighted with Chris’ recommendation of the optimal system for our unusual needs. I highly recommend him.
