  I had a small installation put in by ECH a couple of years ago and the on site installers were good and to be honest the sales service was good too. However, I have had an ongoing issue with the battery whereby every few months it will drop all charge to the grid (at my expense!) and then start to recharge from zero. A few weeks ago the battery did this and now will not charge or even turn on, it is not recognised by the ap, it cannot be reset and as a consequence I cannot store any excess electricity I generate. These batteries are not cheap and I am disappointed the system is having these problems. I have contacted ECH for help and they say its user error (how!?) and needs resetting and that will cost me £360, that is not what the manufacturers website says. Carl from ECH is very unhelpful and abrupt dismissive in equal measures in his communications. I have looked up this problem on the GivEnergy website and they say the lack of response from the battery and the big red error light on the front suggest a hardware fault. I have contacted ECH to help as such expensive kit is of course covered under the sale of good act... "...In the UK, consumers have strong legal protections for expensive, durable items that last up to six years (five years in Scotland) under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (which replaced the Sale of Goods Act 1979 for purchases made after 1 October 2015). This statutory right means goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and last a "reasonable" length of time..." And they have denied any responsibility. I will now contact Trading Standards, MCS and anyone else I can think they are involved with.

  I had solar panels installed in September 2025. All up and running within a day. The 3 guys that carried out the installation were very efficient. We've already seen a noticeable decrease in our electricity bill. Happy to recommend ECH Group to anyone thinking of having solar panels installed.

  This is the second time we have asked ECH to carry out works for us, and once again we are totally impressed with the service we received. All of the people we had contact with were both courteous and extremely helpful. I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking for a company to install solar panels.   Although still early days of having solar panels and a battery installed, I would happily recommend ECH. From first contact with ECH my experience has been very positive. The initial quote was very competitive and did not change. The installation was completed efficiently by a very courteous, competent team. A subsequent query was dealt with immediately and satisfactorily. Thank you ECH.
