  Oval were fantastic throughout our solar install. We got 24 panels and a Sigenergy system installed. At the same time I got a new consumer unit installed as well as smoke alarms and some other electrical jobs to ensure I could maximise the use of the new system. They took the time to carefully plan where all the cables would be routed, and how to make the finish as neat as possible. Everything is either inside trunking, or out of sight in ceiling spaces etc. They even relocated some existing electrics to ensure the finish would be super neat and tidy. I’ve been extremely pleased with their attention to detail throughout and their helpful and friendly communication. They are extremely knowledgable about everything solar, they truly live and breathe it. I could not be happier with the result - I would recommend them to anyone.

  Oval Renewables Ltd recently replaced the Consumer Unit in my home, and the result is outstanding. After several renewable installations over the years — Solar PV, battery storage, an EV charger, and an ASHP — my existing consumer unit had become cluttered and outdated. I wanted everything brought up to modern standards to properly protect the more sensitive equipment now running in the house. Oval Renewables were the obvious choice. I’ve used them before and have always been impressed by their knowledge of modern electrical systems and renewable technologies. That experience really shows in the quality of their work. The new Consumer Unit is neatly installed, clearly labelled, and far better organised than what I had before. The difference is clear in the before-and-after photos I’ve included. The engineer took the time to explain what was being upgraded and why, carried out all the necessary testing, and left everything tidy. It’s reassuring to know the system is now safer, cleaner, and fully aligned with current standards. Another excellent job from Oval Renewables — highly recommended.

  After nearly two months our Oval Renewables solar and battery installation has worked and produced electricity far beyond our expectations.   I have an existing Solar PV system and heat pump, my house is totally electric and I wanted to have a large capacity Battery installation to take advantage of excess Solar PV electricity and a cheaper tariff so I could charge my battery and then make use of the cheaper energy during the day time. I was recommended by a close friend to ask Oval renewables for quote as my friend was delighted with his recent installation. I felt that I had a very positive response from Oval with a prompt quote and personal visit from Sam (owner) who clearly loves his job, very professional and enthusiastic. I felt my quote was competitively priced using top quality Sigenergy products. I elected to have a nominal 40KV battery, with a 7KW ac EV charger, back up power gateway in case of a grid outage, and fire alarm system, linking into my existing Solar PV system. The installation was carried out in three days by courteous, professional engineers, very approachable, and happy to explain what they were doing. They were very tidy removing all packaging and leaving my garage pristine. I would highly recommend Oval energy and consider them to be a highly trustworthy professional renewable energy installation company.

  We spent some time considering our Solar installation. We wanted good quality equipment (it needs to last a long time), good technical design (we have a complex house layout with multiple potential sites for the panels), and an emphasis on aesthetics. We were recommended to consider Oval Renewables by a friend who had an installation by them some years ago. We looked at other installers. Oval was not the lowest quote. But following a visit by Sam (the company principle), we felt that he listened to what we wanted and came up with an innovative solution. We have a three-phase power supply, that has many advantages, but also some added complexity. They were the only company that suggested a two-inverter solution -one three phase and a supplementary single-phase inverter in a separate building. The siting of the panels (35 in total) was important. We wanted the appearance to be discreet, but also efficient. In the event the panels have been installed on four surfaces that give us good solar power right across daylight hours. The process from initial contact to execution was quite long -but it was worth it to get the right solution for us. The installation team was polite and efficient. The standard of workmanship was excellent (I am an engineer with high standards -so a tough judge). Very neat and professional. Once the installation was complete, the process to get the power export was complex and took several weeks (in the control of the energy suppliers). And to get the best tariff executed took some time and some difficulty. During this period Oval stayed in contact giving advice and liaising with the various parties. Once the supplier (Octopus) eventually took complete control of system, we have been able to appreciate how good the design is. Already at the beginning of March, despite the short days, we are producing more power than we consume on many days. As Summer comes along, we anticipate the advantage of Three-Phase with Octopus Intelligent Flux will provide a significant income that can offset the winter periods when this is not possible. So, in summary, we are very pleased with Oval Renewables and are happy to recommend them to others on the basis of our experiences to date

  I needed my Zappi blinded from my home battery to prevent it draining, tried a few electricians none were interested or didn’t understand, Oval Renewables said no problem. Great communication, fast and efficient neat and tidy service, would definitely recommend.

  Hello Sam, Thanks again for SolarEdge Back-up install, it's great to know that my home is now fully protected against ever looming winter blackouts! 👍 For information, Sam installed my system in late May of this year and prepped for the Back-Up install at a later date. I was the first customer in Scotland (I think) so it was just a case of scheduling the install when it was convenient for both - as usual, Sam was extremely flexible and professional with regard to all aspects and it's an absolute joy dealing with installers like him and the team at HQ. Photo is of the Back-Up and my main review shows other photos of system. Can't thank Sam and Team enough. In my opinion, if you want the best installer in the country then look no further than Oval.   Hello Apologies for not sending sooner, I thought I had in June. The whole process with Sam and the team was completely stress free even though it was their first (I think) install in Scotland. System comprises of 23 panels front and back (pretty much south facing) and a Solar Edge hybrid inverter with circa 10kWh battery - we applied for 8kW export which SPN approved. Post install I handed system to grid via Octopus and during summer months was generating 1 megaWatt per month which will mean no actual bills to be paid to Octopus - I will be in surplus. Can't thank team Oval enough and if you want peace of mind that you are engaging with one of the best renewable install/service companies in the country, then look no further.
