1Poor after care had solarfast install our solar panels etc , fitters were good and quick and polite , but did not show us how to use the app and have phoned technical several times to get help and get told someone will call to run through things but never do , so we are non the wiser on how to use it and feel very let down , very frustrating when you spend so much money and they can’t be bothered to help you or even show you how to use the app so this has completely ruined my experience with solafast and Wickes

1Great at selling you solar Pannels , battery’s and charge point But after care is shocking , my system has been faulty for a week , have called up several times told id get a call back , not happened , after more calls they can only send an engineer out when I’m at work , finally agreed to send someone out in another 9 days . Brilliant ,apps don’t work Can only charge car if I override the app Shocking after care.

5Very efficient, easy to deal with and couldn’t beat the price. The installers were nice polite lads and did a neat job.

2I have been holding off leaving this review to see how the panels performed over a whole year and to see if my initial concerns were valid. It has now been 11 months with the panels. To cut a long story short - the estimated 30-year savings we were presented were extremely misrepresented and we may never make our money back. Pros: Solar Fast were very friendly and the installation and timescales of getting everything up and running were pretty good (although I have nothing to compare it to). Cons: As typical for salesmen, we were offered a one-time deal that required a decision there and then. The pitch that was given was that we would make our money back by in circa 15years and at year 30 have a +100% return on investment. Pretty good. This was based on us using 90% of the energy generated and exporting the rest. In reality, we are only using 20% and exporting the majority. This is simply due to us having an electric shower and a small battery. Most electric showers have a wattage of 8-10kW which far exceeds the capacity of all our panels (even at midday) and discharge rate of our battery, leaving us no choice but to pull from the grid every day. The salesman knew our set up and I feel should have known the estimated figures presented would be very inaccurate. I worked this out within a few weeks and raised my concerns with SF, who never really gave me a proper explanation and reassured me that it should not make a big difference. It makes a huge difference, as their calculations heavily rely on energy prices going up but as we can only harness 20% of the solar production due to having an electric shower and a small battery, we rely massively on EXPORT tariffs. There is zero guarantee SEG rates will increase, or even continue to pay for export in 20-30 years. This was not explained to us. In short, it is likely we may never even make our money back in 30 years, let alone have any return in investment. Seeing as we were heavily pitched this as a better investment than putting £14k away in savings (which could easily double in 20 years) we feel very misled. I feel good about having panels in terms of increasing the UK's renewable energy and relying less on the grid, however, unfortunately I have to accept that this was a very bad financial decision. We now have to look into installing a hot water tank and replace our showers (adding more cost) to see if this can help reduce the large amount we are still importing from the grid every day.

5We had solar panels installed by Solar Fast a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier with the experience. The installation was smooth, clean, and completed quickly. 1An absolute nightmare of a company. Refused to survey the job despite 3 requests. Scaffolding people didn’t have the right equipment and caused damage to our property. Installation team couldn’t complete the work because didn’t have the correct materials. They didn’t file correct paperwork with energy company. Communication was dire. If you want honest reliable and trustworthy service then look elsewhere.

1This company has completely done us an injustice. We have tried to resolve our issues with them but after they have been paid they have completely ignored us . We are trying to communicate on numerous occasions about some problems we are having with our installation but are no further forward. We have massive questions and worries with how we were sold the system and have now an independent enquiry, survey and inspection which is costing us money to cope with. We feel we have been lied to and sold something that to be honest is not serving the purpose we were promised. We trusted them as experts but we have been failed miserably. The salesman Matthew has ignored our concerns constantly and we are now taking this further. If we could give no stars I would .

1Had my system installed mid December,everything went like clockwork,scaffold up the day before install and back down the day after. The engineers were very tidy and completed the job in one day (12 panels and duracell inverter and 2 duracell batteries). The install went without a hitch. Now the problem.... the app that was installed on my phone to control the system (import and export of electricity etc) has been installed in read only mode and despite 3 calls and more e-mails to try and correct this nothing has happened. I am being told that they do not know how to rectify this and are waiting for the manufacturers to get back to them,all the while this is costing me money as i cannot import at the cheap variable rate and use when the Kwh price is high. I was sold the batteries and inverter as the best to have and they came at a higher price. Trouble is they don't know how to set them up properly. Come to think of it they haven't actually installed the system properly and it now three weeks and counting

5Great service, quick installation and immediate savings. Was off grid all day and it was overcast, cloudy and raining. Ran my work laptop, monitor, appliances, and charged devices etc. Only went off grid an hour after it went dark. Best investment to make.
