    I seek references and carry out a lot of research before engaging consultants and engineers especially for such important systems as those relating to heating, hot water and insulation in the home. So I am delighted to have found and engaged Xpert Energy to install an Air Source Heat Pump and integrate with existing under floor heating. Director Sarah's expertise builds deep confidence in knowing that they considered technical options in depth, and explored these options with us as customers, before recommending the best solution. I was especially impressed by the engineers who installed the new system, who stuck around and returned as necessary to iron out anything that inevitably arises as they expertly integrated the new heat pump system with existing underfloor heating system.     What a great company. The engineer Daniel who came to sort out our Genvex was excellent, very friendly, knowledgable and methodical in diagnosing the problem. It's refreshing to find a company you have complete confidence in. excellent !!!!!

    1st class work on major new build project: high quality install. MVHR and ASHP are extremely quiet, system installed on time, great aftercare. Xpert took a real interest in the design to make sure we got the best and most economic solution. Other people I'd looked at tried to push an over-spec'd heat pump. Xpert worked carefully through the sums to give a well thought through design. I thoroughly recommend.

    I had a couple of appointments to check and change the extractor fan unit and from day one, David was very helpful , knowledgeable and really an expert in his field. Kept me updated all through the job as to what was being done or needed and a very friendly person. Excellent customer service overall; 100% recommend them. Thankyou!

    “I wish you’d spoken to me earlier……. you are doing everything wrong”, said Sarah from Xpert Energy when we gingerly called her from our car on a Friday afternoon. We were days away from paying for a massive bio-mass boiler and storage shed to heat our old stone cottage that was mid-renovation. We had more than a nagging suspicion we were, indeed, doing everything wrong as our plans were based on no knowledge but the optimistic idea that we could generate enough heat to power the Sun so it didn’t really matter how thermally efficient we were. To be fair, from the outset, we had wanted an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) coupled with underfloor heating but everybody, literally everybody, told us our old property would never be warm and that we’d never have enough hot water. Sarah set about persuading us otherwise. She was brutally honest with us when we had a video call and she rapidly assessed the property and sketched an outline solution. Armed with our plans her team then constructed virtual 3D models of the house and factored in building construction, materials, windows, insulation, local weather conditions, exposure etc and were able to produce a room by room thermal requirement v loss. From this they were able to work out how much heat we would need to generate assuming we could achieve a suitable level of insulation and confirmed that a modern ASHP was more than up to the job. We went to visit Sarah and her team near Aldermaston and had a 3 hour meeting, attended by our very experienced builder, while the Xpert energy team explained every part of the plan in detail, patiently answered all our questions and basically bowled us over with their knowledge and expertise. Even the crusty old builder was impressed and came away much better informed. So we cancelled the wood chip boiler and put ourselves in Sarah’s hands. After all she promised us that if we were cold on Christmas day she’d be around personally to sort out the system! Underfloor heating and wall insulation were planned along with low temperature, high efficiency radiators upstairs. Sarah carried out a site visit and explained everything very clearly to the builders and plumber who were left in no doubt as to who was in charge. And then the team took over, fitting the pipes for the UFH, manifolds, thermostats for zones and installing the ASHP. Our plant room is basically a wonder and we now have a warm, cosy house, tons of piping hot water, controllable zones (x5) and we know we are being both efficient and eco. Needless to say, we didn’t need to call Sarah on Christmas day. Sarah’s team have been brilliant throughout and indeed when our plumbing went awry (pipes got crossed) Sarah sent us one of her most experienced engineers who basically sniffed out the problem, diagnosed the issue and localised the issue with the minimum of fuss and disruption. Nothing to do with Xpert Energy but they were happy to help us out with the domestic hot water supply. Sarah herself has total mastery of her subject and her insistence on everything being done correctly, to the highest standards, permeates the company and provides customers with outstanding outcomes. Despite changing our plans quite late we have undoubtedly been able to save money and we are extremely confident in the quality of our system. Bottom line - we are very happy to unreservedly recommend Xpert Energy to you, even if you about to install your own system. Make sure you check with Sarah first!

    *** Think VERY CAREFULLY before using this company *** For context, I am not one to leave negative reviews - preferring to give praise where it's due - and always give a business an opportunity to respond and discuss a solution offline before resorting to publishing anything online. You can click my profile to see my other reviews. I've called on Xpert Energy a few times to repair a recurring issue with the Genvex Combi unit I have installed in my property involving the waste water hose getting blocked and flooding the machine - rendering it non-operational during the coldest months of the year. The same issue has now reoccured a third time in three years, despite paying expensive repair invoices every time an engineer visits. To date it's cost me well over £1,000, and the same issue has just reoccured AGAIN. Every time I provide feedback that the company has not successfully solved the issue, I am just told that I'll need to pay the minimum £250 call-out charge for an engineer to visit again. There's no compassion or responsibility has been taken by the team, or the company directors, to get this issue solved. The booking manager is dismissive and rude, and has flat out refused to escalate my case to management, despite explaining that the young family that reside in the property have been without heating or hot water for two weeks. [See enclosed screenshots of correspondence to give you an idea of the tone taken by the company.] They take a 'computer says no' approach to customer service, without assessing the merits of an individual case. As mentioned at the top, I've written to give Xpert Energy the opportunity to discuss the matter with me before resorting to leaving a negative review, but they ignored that too. I'd think very carefully about engaging this company. Sure, they might fix your problem, but.. if things don't go to plan, I can guarantee that they will shirk away from any responsibility and have no interest in putting your concerns or needs before their own revenue generation.

    Xpert Energy is a compassionate company that cares a great deal for our customers many of which have been with us for 15 years now and I am personally very upset at your review. To be very clear we did not installed your system, we have never been asked to carry out any service, nor have you ever agreed to a preventative maintenance plan with us, so there is absolutely no contract between you and Xpert. However, when you have called us (out of contract) we have previously done our best to get to you and resolve the issue at the time, rightly charging you for this call out, the last of which was January 2024 a year ago. I would suggest that a proper service agreement and a full diagnostic visit would be the right way to proceed, there is obviously an issue with your original install if this repeatedly happens which is the responsibility of your installer not Xpert Energy. I am sorry if your system has failed again, but we have many contracted customers that have to come first and from our reviews are very happy with the service they receive. I have spoken to Charlotte who has worked for me for many years and she correctly asked you to pay for a call out as we have no contract with you and looked at her email which she sent saying that I was unavailable last week, I cannot see what is offensive or rude but am happy to discuss this with you if you have anything more to add as we are always looking to improve if possible.     Great service from Sarah and the team. Sarah is very knowledgeable and helped us install a heat pump and MVHR system. Everyone who worked on this was professional, polite and friendly. Highly recommend.

    John is an amazing engineer alongside his coworker Daniel really lovely people so polite friendly, informed me exactly what was going to take place. what they were going to do and the Job was done perfectly! Would highly recommend them both such a asset to the company
