5Just finished my install and I'm a very happy customer. We had some equipment issues but they stuck with it and got everything sorted out, which makes for a much more positive recommendation

1I had my system installed March 25 (it was a complete debacle and when finally checked by an independent electrician, had multiple problems and should not have been signed of by Cotswold electrically). I paid extra for batteries that could be installed outside and were guaranteed to work in the cold. Early January the batteries wouldn't charge/discharge and on investigation I discovered Cotswold Energy had installed the incorrect batteries (confirmed by them). Despite numerous emails and calls and promises to get back to me I am still waiting for this problem to be rectified. I can see this ending up in the small claims court.

1Waited three days for a sales person to call me. Was promised on a Friday I would be called. It's now Thursday and still waiting. Very poor. If that's an indication of their level of service then perhaps best to keep away. Such a shame. I had an installation put in last April by them and they were excellent.

1M5 south near J8/9 at 10am today, blatantly watching a video on his phone in hand with the van swerving. Piss poor driving!

3I had my ASHP fitted a year ago. Whilst the engineers themselves are excellent and I think did a good job, the after sales care is very poor. I received poor advice on the number and size of radiators and returned several as there wasn't sufficient room in the house for them! It was agreed that I would be credited for these against future services but this seems to have been conveniently forgotten so I am now several hundred pounds out of pocket. I will of course pursue this, in court if necessary. I also now believe that I paid far more than average for the system; at the time I trusted the good name of the company but I think was taken advantage of. The previously reasonable customer care department has been outsourced to a call centre with telephone lines mostly engaged and no one with any clue on the end of the phone when you do get through. I do hope that Cotswold Energy read this and other reviews and do something to recover their good name.

1Very poor after service : Had my ASHP fitted 3 years ago and I have been calling and emailing since mid September to book an annual service. No one returns my calls or emails and I am told that I am on the list to be seen. Still no call back from anyone. If I could go to someone else to get it serviced I would but feel that for warranties to be valid I am stuck with Cotswold. They used to be a very good company, sadly not anymore . Very frustrating.

1Disgustingly poor after care. Error on certificates meant we couldn't register for a solar tarrif for months. 7 months later the issue is still unresolved and contacting anybody is just a case of being passed from pillar to post. 4+weeks between emails with staff who clearly have no clue on solar systems. Avoid !

1After five months of being messed about and given the runaround, I eventually cancelled my order for solar panels from Cotswold Energy, which had been arranged through ScottishPower who refunded me my deposit and were very apologetic.

1Hopeless aftercare. Fitted a heatpump system under ECO4 scheme last year. Intermittent fault with pump controller left house with no heating in January and still chasing repair. Emails ignored and fobbed-off on the telephone for months now. Have a warranty on paper, but not in practice. Wish we'd kept the storage heaters, far less hassle.

5Cotswold Energy Group recently installed solar panels and replaced old storage heaters and insulation on our property with new efficient models . All the work was done quickly and we were left with a clean house which is warmer and uses less energy. It was a good and efficient service that we were very pleased with and can recommend .
