1They were called in to resolve a single faulty wired smoke alarm. I was charged over £180 for a very simple and easy job. I can’t be the only one that feels £180 is a not a fair price to sort out a £15 to £20 smoke alarm. When I asked for them to justify this cost, their attitude was dismissive, negative and condescending stating that I buy cheap products and they wouldn’t (even though they fitted a £14 alarm). Terrible experience and I would never want to use them ever again.

5Couldn’t fault the communication with Stuart. Also the work that was carried out on ensuite shower and kitchen ceiling where leak had occurred. Happy to recommend the workmanship and professional attitude.

5I recently contacted John Wrights as a new customer when my 30-year-old boiler broke down. Stuart came to my property and, unlike others, he went above and beyond to help me source the parts and get my boiler working again,rather than pushing me to buy a new one. At a time when I was vulnerable, with small children and no heating or hot water, this meant the world to us. Stuart arranged for Nick to attend and fit the parts, and Nick was fantastic…a real credit to John Wrights. He was polite, friendly, and professional. Within 48 hours of the breakdown, my boiler was back up and running! From start to finish, the attitude, professionalism, and care from both Stuart and Nick were outstanding. Stuart gave me his word it would be sorted, and he didn’t let us down. I would not hesitate to recommend John Wrights,a total breath of fresh air. Thank you so much🎄

1The person who drives your van in down the single carriage way part of the A19 south in to York at 7:40ish needs an eye test I’ve been stuck behind them twice this week going no more than 40mph in a 60, causing huge traffic behind them

5Wrights fitted a new boiler quickly and without fuss. They displayed obvious technical ability and kept me advised of what they were doing. They also took time afterwards to ensure that it was working properly and to show me how to deal with minor problems. The price was slightly lower than others but it was obvious to me that they knew exactly what they were doing and ensured that the gas safety element was fully covered. We were so impressed that when a neighbour also needed a new boiler we were able to recommend Wrights and they provided the same high level of service they had demonstrated to us. 5John Wright's have assisted with various issues with central heating in a client's property. My client is living with dementia and John Wright's have been excellent in looking after problems in a sensitive and very patient manner. They also try to come out at short notice and out of hours. I would strongly recommend them.

1If I could give 0 stars I would. The way the manager has spoken to us on the phone is beyond disgusting. Accusing us of lying and cutting us off mid conversation when trying to explain the plumbers definitely have not been to our flat, and we also have proof through our doorbell camera. Furthermore telling us different things constantly, contradicting to the email proof we have from himself. Would never use this company again if they were not forced upon us. It has taken a month to have any progress made with our leaking ceiling, terrible communication and a disgusting attitude. Avoid.
