    Rolec installed a complete new electric distribution system on our pontoons in March, removing all of the old bollards and cables in preparation for the work. The installation included a new distribution box on the shore along with four on the pontoons, all feeding power to 130 sockets on 41 bollards. The system is integrated with the MetPow app which gives customers total control of their electric use.

    EDIT - This matter is not resolved at all. This is a dual outlet unit and only one outlet of the EV charger works. The faulty outlet keeps displaying an error code, every day the client needs to reset the whole unit. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't….. As an installer, i’ve fitted over £20k worth of Rolec EV chargers. Every time there is an issue in the commissioning phase, it’s hugely over engineered and technical support never answer the phone. This is embarrassing as an installer when trying to set the clients up and is not cost effective. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I never recommend Rolec but sometimes I can’t go against clients spec’s

    I didn’t think that rolec would respond as I only required one ‘pay as you go’ EV charging solution for my holiday let but they called back & explained a couple of options. Perfect solution and affordable! Would highly recommend if you’re looking to setup an easy remotely managed paid for EV charger

    We called Rolec as we had a issue with our electric at the marina. From start to finish the service was impeccable. We had a election on site within hours who had us back up and running in no time. Would highly recommend.

    This company is a con. After many phone calls to get my EV charger started, I'm basically being told that I need to fork out £400 for a unit that has never been used and was installed for a new flat development. This should be a plug in an go unit where I just plug the car in and charge. Unit has never been used since we bought the flat, and having been told to join the app and charge which didn't work, I am now stuck. I was advised by Shawn that an engineer needs to come out. No call out reference, no mention of charges, and no mention of warranty for this unit. After many calls and being on hold for hours trying to get through, an engineer came out. I asked about costs and in total this could cost me £400 with call out fees and a new communication board. What a con!! Just rang again to clarify and I've been told that this was discussed on the phone previously (which is not true) and if I don't do this work the unit will be redundant, which sounds like a threat. This company is disgusting and should be reported. Communication is dreadful. I can complain to the complaints department but I've been advised by Rolec that I probably won't get anywhere. It's just not fair a company can treat you like this.

    Dear Atay, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are genuinely sorry for the frustration caused and understand how disappointing it must be when you want to use a charger that was installed with your property. To clarify, the chargepoint was installed as part of a new-build development and, while unused, it is outside of its manufacturer warranty period. In these circumstances, any diagnostics, engineer visits, or replacement components are chargeable to the chargepoint owner, which is standard practice across the industry. Our records show that this was discussed during the telephone conversation prior to an engineer attending, and the visit itself was carried out by an approved installer/maintenance partner, who is responsible for their own call-out and repair charges. We understand, however, that the communication around costs did not land as clearly as it should have, and we would like to reassure you that there was no intention to threaten or pressure you. The explanation that the unit would remain non-operational without repair was simply intended to outline the technical reality. Following the electrician’s diagnosis, and as agreed, we sent the required part to the electrician for him to carry out the repair. We sincerely apologise again for the inconvenience and greatly appreciate your patience. We take feedback seriously at Rolec, and your case has been reviewed internally to help ensure clearer communication going forward.

    We visited the factory for a training day. I have to be honest, I wasn't really sure what to expect or if it was of any benefit before we got there. But I was so wrong. 3 of us went and we all agree it was an invaluable day, a lot of time and effort has been put into the day. It was nice to have a tour of the works and a presentation prior to the meeting and the training was great. it was easy going but also as in-depth as you wanted. Nothing was left unanswered and nothing was too much trouble. A lot of thought and work has gone into the training area. I feel our Trust is in very safe hands with Rolec for all our EV needs. Lovely people and a happy workplace, that's really noticeable. Oh and the Large T Shirt fitted just fine, I was right I didn't need the XL :-) Just to add since getting back to our own site today, we have added all the EV Chargers to the app, played about and put one of the units in test and ordered the plug in test module. WE have been given the knowledge to keep our site up and running.

    I am customer of Rolex ev charger model "zura". I have complaints from the 1st week onwards. Now I am complete 2 years. In the beginning the complaint will rectify from their customer care. After 1year till now, every week the engineer visiting and changing parts and spending 2 hrs here. Now after each charging I have to call the rolec customer service. This machine is useless for me now. I cannot charge my car peacefully. If you put for charge, next day morning the machine get faulty and I can't use my car. I am fed up with this charger and the customer care. They almost changed inside the machine. But not ready to change this faulty machine. Last 6 months, I have 100 of calls to rolec customer services. Every week one day I have to take half day leave and wait for the engineer. So THINK twice before you buying Rolec EV Zura. God promise, my job is also in trouble because of taking unexpected leaves. Trust me. Don't buy Rolec EV.

    I Have just been on a two day Electric vehicle product training course at Rolec in Boston. Massive thanks to all the team (Allan Emily Laura & Sasho) who made us feel really welcome & were extremely informative. Looking forward to using some of their quality products in the future.
