  We've been doing a self building near Kelso and we asked Borders Underfloor Heating to install our heat pump system and guide us through the installation of the underfloor pipework which we intended to do ourselves. Simon and Pauline have be extremely helpful throughout. Pauline provided us with quotes for various options and we went with the Mitsubishi Eco Dan system. The materials for my part of the installation were organised by BUF and delivered to site when I asked for them. Once I had installed the pipe layout Simon returned to site to fill and pressure test the system before the screed was poured. Simon plans his heating layout with care and his installation in our plant room is extremely tidy, every connection, both electrical and plumbing is precise and double checked. I have never seen tidier pipe insulation, fitted once the system was tested. We have been using the air source heat pump for a couple of months now and it is doing exactly what we had hoped providing heat and hot water efficiency and keeping the house comfortable. I would certainly recommend this company for their attention to detail and their helpful 'can do' attitude. Pauline is your main point of contact and is very knowledgeable and approachable. Give them a call - you won't be disappointed.

  We are currently enjoying our lovely warm house thanks to an ASHP/UFH system installed by Borders Underfloor Heating Limited. After reading other peoples reviews we were determined to obtain Simon and Pauline’s services. From the start they have guided us through the process and reassured us when needed. Simon’s knowledge and expertise were valuable commodities and Pauline was always available if we needed to discuss anything. With the build almost complete we are looking forward to relaxing knowing we have an excellent system installed by the best.

  The heating and hot water system were an integral part to our self build and I wasn't prepared to compromise on any aspect. I found Borders UFH via an internet search and having made contact, I soon realised I was going to be dealing with a very committed, professional and personable couple. From our early discussions through to post completion checks, both Simon and Pauline treated our project as if they were installing their own. I have no hesitation in recommending Borders UFH as there approach and execution removed any worry / anxiety from this complex yet fundamental part of our build.

  Not all underfloor heating companies are the same and I count myself fortunate as having worked with Simon and Pauline from Borders Underfloor Heating Company. From our very first meeting with Simon and Pauline , we were filled with confidence that they knew what they were talking about, they not only took time to understand what we wanted but also pointed out changes that they felt would lead to a better solution. We also did our due diligence as well and discovered glowing reviews from past customers, some were references from BUH but others were from local trades. Our project was a major barn conversion that had never previously been lived in and 1 year later we are happily living in a lovely warm house with plenty of hot water. If you are looking to do underfloor heating correctly then I would encourage you to engage Simon and Pauline directly and you can confidently be assured that all your heating needs will be fully addressed and like me exceed your expectations.

  Honesty, integrity, professionalism, punctuality …..If you list the things you expect from a company I think you will find BUH tick every box. Pauline’s experience instils confidence and reassurance as soon as she answers your call and Simon delivers with a vast knowledge-base, extensive skill-set and a forensic attention to detail to install your system. Within a day we had our wireless, underfloor heating control system installed, fully functional and all controlled remotely by an app. Old school professionalism combined with contemporary solutions and... delivered by really nice folk to boot!.
