    Been waiting over. A week to have hot water and heating sorted and no communication whatsoever I am fobbed off each time being told engineers are in traffic and don’t turn up at all been over a week without hot water and heating I am disgusted with this non service

    I’ve booked him in for a date. They come a week before and they isolated my gas with no Post-it note through my door and I’ve got an elderly woman in my house not really happy.

    Intermittent central heating problem ably diagnosed by Steve, then Piers came to replace the faulty part. Both men were personable & efficient. I appreciated their professionalism & their engagement with me to explain the repair.

    We had Paynes fit a complete solar and battery system in Feb 2025 so it has been running for a year now. We were extremely happy with the service they provided both pre, during and post the install. They produced a comprehensive proposal pack and walked us through every aspect of the system and install. The installation team were also really good and it all went off with out a hitch. They also made sure we were connected to the relevant monitoring apps and walked us through how to use them. Very happy with the whole process and very happy with how the system has performed over the last year.

    I have always been very pleased with Paynes. They fitted my latest boiler about 7 years ago and since then have serviced it yearly. There’s never any drama, they arrive on time, do what they’re supposed to and that’s all anyone could ask for. Price wise, I found them extremely competitive at the time I required a new boiler, compared to others in their field and would recommend if you’re within their area.

    Our central heating failed on New Years Day. Paynes arrived the following morning (Friday) to assess the problem & ordered all the parts. On Monday George, ably assisted by Freddie, fixed our heating. They were hard working and we are very pleased with Paynes.

    Well, I’m an 87 year old vulnerable lady with Cancer, heart and other major illness. I am a tenant Of a housing association who hold a contract with Paynes for their plumbing services. However yesterday morning my central heating went down I reported this thru the out of hours line. Explained my health problems and that I was a very vulnerable resident. Apart from waiting on line with two phones for over an hour I was told they have up to a 24 hour window for repairs! Today Sunday, (11/01/26) i telephoned again, only to have the same information. Apart from the fact that the HA state that should a vulnerable resident have problems of my nature they would be treated as vulnerable and action taken. As far as I’m concerned Paynes have fallen we’ll below their care for vulnerable residents and although I am dressed like Nanuk of the North I am fuming and concerned at what has happened to me in these freezing weather conditions. Any comments?

    We apologise for the issues you have been having with our service. All Hyde complaints need to be taken through the correct channel via Hyde and our management. We will look through this case and see what happened and how we can ensure this does not happen in the future.

    Absolute shambles . My friends boiler went on friday and she is nearly 70 years of age with underlying chest illnesses . Emergency engineer came out saturday . Didnt know what he was doing having to watch a video on you tube then blew all her electrics and left her saying an emergency electrician will be with her in 4 hours . Man came and could not understand what he had done to blow out her main fuse. Now being told she has to wait til xmas eve before anyone can come out to her . And then she will probably be told sorry need a part and nothing can be done til new year . Simply not good enough . They need to send engineer ( who knows what they are doing ) out ASAP .!!!!!!!!!! Well heres a catchup on the great service you recieve from this company ..... Reply from owner who says this is a priority and to get in touch to sort this out ..... well ....... It is now 12.00 xmas eve apparently the engineer was on his way to my friend at 8.45 am ...... is he coming from Timbuctoo????. This is a 70 year old lady who has not had any heating or hot water for 5 days now . This company does not give a damn . Utter complete shambles . I hope you all have a great xmas because i know my friend will not . I hope she does not end up in hospital with her lung illnesses. Enjoy your turkeys !!!!!!!! Well surprise surprise ........ engineer been and turns out the original engineer who blew the electrics has made a right mess of the boiler and my friend now has to wait on Paynes calling out a Valiant engineer . See how long this now takes . If actioned on monday when it should have been then she would have most probably been up and running for xmas . What are you employing there ? This man was supposed to be an EMERGENCY engineer and all hes done is make things worse and ruin my friends xmas and no doubt her health !!!!!! Where are you to sort this owner of the company ??????? What is going on with this company ????? 19th December boiler breaks down . 20th December engineer comes and blows all electrics . 24th December engineer comes and cannot fix boiler stating that a vailant engineer needs to come out . 29th December paynes engineer comes out and says it needs a fan .( But surely the engineer who came on 24th would have noticed this) . 31st December get a phone call saying they cannot get a fan till the 7th january . (Surely a part that you would keep in stock !!!!!!) That will be nearly 3 weeks my pensioner friend will be without heating and hot water all because of their engineer blowing the electrics !!!!!!!!!! It has also cost £120 on her electric as she is on card meter which incidently was her shopping money for the week . Absolute cowboys stay away from this company at all costs !!!!!!!!!!

Due to data protection, we can’t discuss job details publicly, but we take these concerns seriously and would like to review this as a priority. We ask that your friend, or someone acting on her behalf, contacts our office directly so we can investigate and ensure the matter is handled appropriately. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. On more investigation we had left the property with heating in the form of heaters and a working immersion. We know this is not the ideal set up over this period but we did leave the property with adequate heating and hot water.
